Cancellation and Refund Policy

1. Who we are

Writ is operated by Writ AI Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17467334, registered office 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX.

2. What you are buying

Every Writ plan is a single payment. There is no subscription, nothing renews, and you are never charged again unless you choose to buy something else.

• Writ AI Lite, £19: the AI coach on all three questions.
• Writ AI Plus, £39: the same, plus one tutor review.
• Writ AI Max, £79: the same, plus three tutor reviews.
• Extra tutor reviews: £25 for one, £70 for three.

Your plan stays on your account; it does not run out. The price you pay is the price shown at checkout.

3. Your 14-day right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days from the day you buy to cancel and get a full refund.

4. When that right ends

The AI coaching starts working for you the moment you pay. So on the payment page we ask you to tick a box confirming that you want your plan to start straight away, and that you understand you lose your 14-day right to cancel the AI coaching once it does. If you tick it, that part of your right to cancel ends when your plan starts. We keep a record of the tick with your order, and confirm it in the email we send when you pay.

Tutor reviews are different. A review is a service we have not provided until a tutor starts reading your draft. So if you cancel within 14 days of buying, we refund the part of the price for every tutor review a tutor has not started: £20 for each review included in Writ AI Plus or Writ AI Max (in proportion, if you paid a discounted price). Reviews a tutor has started or finished are not refunded.

If you would rather keep your 14-day right, do not buy through the payment page: email us at enquiries@writai.co.uk and we will arrange for your plan to start on day 15 instead.

Extra tutor reviews bought on their own are different: a review is only supplied when you send a draft and a tutor starts reading it. If you cancel within 14 days of buying extra reviews, we refund every one a tutor has not started.

5. How to cancel

Email enquiries@writai.co.uk from the address on your account, or write to us at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. You can use the form below, but you do not have to — any clear statement that you want to cancel is enough. We refund within 14 days of being told, to the card you paid with, at no cost to you.

6. If something is wrong with the service

Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected by anything here. If Writ is not as described, or not provided with reasonable care and skill, you may be entitled to have it put right or to a price reduction. Tell us at enquiries@writai.co.uk.

7. Complaints

Email enquiries@writai.co.uk. We reply to every complaint, usually within three working days.
