Writ uses only strictly necessary cookies and browser storage — the small amount needed to keep you signed in and to run the product. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not embed third-party analytics or social-media trackers that follow you across other sites. Because everything we store is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for, no consent banner is required, but here is exactly what we store and why.
| What | Why | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication / session | Keeps you signed in securely between pages and visits (set by Supabase, our auth provider). | Strictly necessary |
| Referral code | Remembers a referral link you arrived with so your friend's invite is credited correctly. | Strictly necessary |
| Interface preferences | Remembers small in-product settings (for example dismissing a one-off notice) on your device. | Strictly necessary |
| Payments (individual plans) | Stripe sets its own strictly-necessary cookies during checkout to process payment securely. | Third-party, strictly necessary |
You can clear or block this storage in your browser settings, but the product will not work properly without the authentication storage — you would not be able to stay signed in. If we ever introduce optional analytics, we will ask for your consent first and list it here.
